Metamorphosis is the biological process of changing physical form after birth or hatching. In this work, I seek to explore the changes that occur in shape, structure and surface, using one dynamic, yet feminine, form. Controversial colours, materials and techniques mix together in an attempt to construct a harmonic synthesis, a whole. No matter the variety of results though, the starting point remains the same. The process is similar to what the human personality undergoes through the years. Problems and difficulties, serenity and happiness, choices and fate that shape us, are transformed in a technical ritual used in this collection to shape my main forms: dark and light, smooth and rough facets coexist in the same piece, that always manages to keep its original shape. Can we actually escape ourselves and transform our shape...?
